השמנת יתר, Undereducated או עני?

Statistics show that obesity is often associated with low income and less education. How can we make sense of this sentence?
As humans, we have in fact three conditions to ensure that we feel quite good, our needs and replace it with a good feeling-or-food by emotional eating.
1. we need to understand what happens in our lives
2. we need the ability to shape and influence our lives
3. we need to be able to feel that what is happening around us makes sense that we place in our families, our society
These three key points are the foundation of keeping us healthy and, ultimately, the weight is normal.
Three of these components often devoid of people poor and educated less?
Yes, when they no longer feel that they will shape their will due to a lack of funds or lack of need to be or the feeling of not being able to make a difference. Corporate managers also seems to break or fall ill with depression, eventually when the creative freedom to shape events somehow curtailed.
Most people who end up at the edge of society due to unemployment or poverty rarely feel that there is a need for more; Rarely, they feel that they can make a difference in someone else 's. They also may have lost the sense of understanding how to change their situations, what is the purpose of their life might be, although as a child, like everybody else, were hopeful that find a place in life where they can bring the meaning of life and other people. This is a kind of realization of it as if constantly live with some sort of hshtokkot and something that cannot be satisfied or reached.
Will not take this leads directly to overeating?
Especially for those who learned as early as childhood that problems will be substituted with candy; Children who fall down or crying for something sweet to relieve pain. Especially parents educated background poorer or less are examples of government customers keep buying chocolate bars and other junk; They keep buying things, although in fact they have very little money available. But this is of course vulnerable audience very well advertising because they were so many problems early in their lives and have learned that they didn't really solve their problems, but only satisfy their desires, replace-change, a better life.
So can this be considered a social problem?
Yes, in some respects these people hold up a mirror of the company and the head of things when people no longer care to each other; When people finally called, stereotyped, no longer receive the room or the opportunity to make a difference to their real and lives of other people. In this respect, then, be unemployed is not so much a problem because of lack of funds, but it becomes a major problem because of the lack of meaning; Because one contribute significantly to the company.
Is this the reason weight loss classes is not working well?
To decide how to behave in certain situations of life-based experiences so far. Anyone studying sweet, oily food will help satisfy desire developed a stand as "if I a little fat, no matter what?" or "the main thing for me is good vmaniv." These positions are not purely cognitive, (that is, we don't always think about it), but from experience, conditioning. And all from the experience something that gets under the skin of the person; Something linked with a strong feeling or emotion. Components, emotional and cognitive, integrated link will lead eventually to a certain behavior of major it is good for us, even if it's overeating foods.
So teaching alone won't help?
Exactly, that this approach will not get emotional elements. You cannot change a stand by persuading people that is the only cognitive component; You will not be able to achieve change by punishing or embrace them at all times that the only way this is emotional elements.
So what will help?
You can invite such people to encourage and inspire new and different experience with themselves. For example, moving the body, so that they can feel and touch and experience their bodies again; Or in relationships with other people, they understand that they can actually talk to others without feeling bad or ashamed, that they feel that they can talk about problems and solutions also. And, of course, in this world, his role in society, where they can take part in it and their homes. These steps to work, nutritional alone is far from enough. It sometimes takes the help of vpsichotrpistim or life coach.
You ask: why don't people get it on their own? They just have to get their act together.
This is the talk of the middle class, he learned himself was enough to take responsibility for their lives, and learned that they can make it. But for those who are used to not be able to speak and that he had any positive change in themselves and who were mocked in their whole life-how you can possibly have an experience of self-taken? For these people there for cognitive and emotional so strong that it has developed, that break, releasing their behavior will replace binging, quite difficult.
So we need a new approach to helping people lose weight?
What we need is another culture relations at home, at school, at work, in our communities. If our life together is so anxiously because everyone can find their place in society, recognizes the valuable to other people, we had many problems of obesity. I am firmly convinced of this.

What Makes Bariatric Bypass Surgery Popular Among Options for Losing Weight?

Approximately over two third of all adults in the country are overweight but more interestingly a third of them are obese. A majority of these people make efforts and seek ways and means of losing weight and as such bariatric bypass surgery is increasingly gaining popularity. Perhaps the question going through your mind right now is what is the meaning or how does bariatric bypass surgery work? If you have these two questions or indeed more questions regarding bariatric bypass surgery, then you can be assured that you are indeed in the right place. It is a name derived from two Greek words; weight and treatment. As such in the simplest of definition the term bariatric is used to denote issues concerned with the causes, prevention as well as treatment of aspects related to overweight, a condition termed as obesity. It is an amalgamation of a number of procedures performed for or on individuals desiring to lose some considerable amount of weight. The procedure is mainly performed to persons considered to be obese, and the idea here is to reduce the capacity of the stomach with an aim of ensuring that the patient feels comfortable and indeed full after consumption of little amounts of food.
Subsequently bariatric procedures are indeed major gastrointestinal procedures meant to alter the anatomy and/or the capacity of the digestive system. In certain cases, a stomach portion is removed through what is known as the biliopancreatic diversion or sleeve gastrectomy with gastric bypass surgery and duodenal switch. It is recommended for persons who have a body mass index of 35-40 and to individuals with such conditions as diabetes. For this particular case it is considered as a treatment and specifically so for obesity and is very distinct from other cosmetic surgery.
Statistics are revealing that the procedure is of late gaining popularity. For over a decade now the numbers of those seeking is tremendously growing. For example in 2003 over 103, 200 patients underwent the surgery, with the number rising in 2005 to over 171,000. The number is expected to maintain an upward trend as more and more people become aware of the surgery and as obesity continues to affects most of the citizens in this country.
The number of doctors offering the bariatric bypass surgery as well continued to rise and the number double between 2005 and 2006, in fact in 2006 around 1500 bariatric surgeons were registered by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. The most common is the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery and accounted for 92% of all the procedures conducted in 2002. The procedure tightens and makes the stomach of the patient smaller and indeed makes the patient feel full pretty fast when eating.

Tackling the Obesity Epidemic: Leading by Example

Human beings are group animals and very easily influenced by the example set by those around them, especially when they're movers and shakers and figures of authority. In the playground children join in games of follow-my-leader. In real life they follow the same behavioural pattern, unconsciously copying the example set by their parents and teachers. American surveys show that the biggest obesity risk children face is to have an obese parent. Parents are exemplars, and if they take steps to lose their excess flab their children are highly likely to follow suit. This was clearly demonstrated by researchers at Stanford School of Medicine, California, who found that when overweight parents lose weight by undergoing gastric bypass operations, their children were twice as likely to try to achieve the same end result by eating more sensibly, taking additional exercise and watching less television. Even the books children read can have a beneficial effect. This was shown when a large group of obese girls aged 9-13 years was enrolled in a healthy lifestyle programme. Half were given a novel about a roly-poly lass who took steps to improve her general health and physical fitness. The remainder received either an everyday novel or no book at all. The results showed that, compared with the control group, the girls who'd been given the good example showed a significantly greater reduction in their weight.Today obesity is commonplace, which means it's becoming the 'norm' rather than an unusual aberration. Nowadays we more likely stand out from the crowd if we're fit than when we're fat. A recent Canadian study of well over three thousand children showed that those who see people in their environment who are overweight or obese tend to 'develop inaccurate perceptions of what constitutes appropriate weight status.'
Surveys show that kids with an obese brother or sister have a 37 per cent increased risk of following their example and putting on excess weight. We can't choose our kith and kin, but we should take great care when selecting our friends, for they too have an significant impact on our behaviour. Researchers at the University of Canada have discovered that subjects have a 57 per cent increased risk of becoming obese if one of more of their close friends is corpulent. Media celebrities have a similar impact, and can benefit their loyal fans by demonstrating that it is infinitely better to maintain a healthy weight rather than be pudgy or skeletally thin. Julie Wooldridge, a young Essex woman, was in many ways a mirror image of Princess Diana. People in the street would do a double-take when they saw her face, then realize that she wasn't their idol when they looked down at her 14 stone body. 'Every photo of HRH was like looking in a mirror at the figure I could become', she told reporters. Given this incentive she lost 63 pounds, dropped four dress sizes and won an international slimming competition.
The UK government has been using advertising and restrictive legislation to tackle the obesity plague, but it would be far more effective if politicians led by example. We're influenced less by their messages, than by the behaviour of the messengers. For instance, Nigel Lawson, when Chancellor of the Exchequer, set the British people a splendid example when he modified his life style, ate less meat and stepped up his intake of fruit and vegetables. On this regime he lost five stone in twelve months, a loss he has maintained ever since. The same applies to Mick Cornett, the Mayor of Oklahoma City, who set his people a splendid example when he shed 40 pounds and set up a website - http://www.thiscityisgoingonadiet.com - to show them how it could be done. Since then, forty thousand Oklahomans have joined the campaign and shed a total of more than half a million pounds.
It's easy for politicians to put on weight, because they lead lives which are stressful but largely sedentary. This is why there was for many years a custom in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire for mayors to be weighed before and after they took up office. This was to show they hadn't grown fat at the public expense. It's unlikely that mayors and cabinet ministers today would submit themselves to such a test, but there must surely be some who would follow Mayor Cornett's example, and lead by example rather than by exhortation. That would enhance the nation's health, decrease the financial burden on the NHS, and boost the UK economy, for studies show that roly-poly employees have twelve times the levels of sickness absenteeism as their slimmer, fitter counterparts. Are there any volunteers among our elected leaders who will play this role?

What Happens If You Are Obese?

Obesity has become a health issue in recent years. The United States has the highest rate of being overweight or obese and estimates will continue to increase. The rates of obesity will increase for all age groups in the next several years. The medical costs associated with obesity could potentially be in the billions. The rates of obesity have increased for all age groups in the last several years and most of these are children and teenagers. The medical problems associated with obesity include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, and the most dreaded disease is cancer. Diabetes is in the top 10 for the leading cause of deaths in the U.S and a major cause to about 100,000 or more deaths every year.
There has been a movement to ban junk food and vending machines with unhealthy snacks and drinks in schools and cafeterias. Is this enough? There is much work to be done and health officials need to educate people on healthy eating, healthy living and most importantly healthy food choices in beating and eliminating obesity.
One solution that can reduce and positively avoid obesity is to exercise, and for most this may be a difficult task to implement, but a vital one in avoiding the gelatinous fat from consuming your body. Exercise does not have to be long or strenuous, you can begin by walking and slowly build up to more challenging exercises as you progress. Set aside ample time for yourself and invite a dear friend on your journey to healthy living. Swimming and biking are just a few simple ideas to getting fit and can help you to avoid from gaining weight.
The other is by pressuring the food industry to make clean, healthier and natural products with the help of mother nature. The food industry has played a big role in the lives of everyday people, especially fast food restaurants that sell processed food loaded with additives, preservatives, sodium and sugar. Simple changes to your diet can prolong your life and aid your body in staying active and healthy. Eating foods rich in minerals, proteins and vitamins like fruits, vegetables, and lean cuts of meat will certainly help you in preventing any serious illnesses and can prevent you from gaining any weight.
Take control of your life and destiny, eat clean, natural and wholesome foods that will help you to a long life of good health and one that includes exercise and plenty of rest.

What Causes Sugar Cravings?

Do you have a problem with sugar cravings? Many women and men too find they often have that feeling of wanting something sweet. You can almost taste the sugar in your mouth and you get a great sense of satisfaction while you are consuming sugar. Then, you find you want more of the taste and end up eating more sugary treats than you intended to.In most cases, these food cravings are not true eating disorders, but are signs of an imbalance in your system. Many people say they have a "sweet tooth" or a just a general lack of will power when it comes to resisting sugary treats. Really though food cravings mean that the body is not in balance and is seeking out something to bring it back to equilibrium.
What happens when we consume sugar? When your body notices that the sugar level is elevated, it is a sign that you have more sugar than you need right now. Your body is not using it and therefore it is accumulating in your blood. Insulin is released to take care of the sugar and store it. The sugar is stored in the form of glycogen. Your body does not store much glycogen and the excess sugar is stored as saturated fat. Also, sugar makes us feel good because it stimulates the release of the neurotransmitter serotonin, and probably other mood-elevating substances. Scientists report that eating chocolate initiates a brain response similar to falling in love.
So we know eating sugar makes us feel good for a short period of time and that is certainly one reason we crave it but what are the other causes. Too much yeast in your system is one of the more common causes of sugar cravings. Candida albicans is the most common yeast found in the human body. Yeast is one of the many types of micro-organisms normally found in the human digestive system.
When your body is in balance it usually causes no problems. When the internal environment is out of balance from stress or fatigue, the yeast can overgrow. You can also trigger an overgrowth of yeast by consuming too much sugar. Yeast feeds on sugar so anything that increases your blood sugar will cause yeast to grow out of control. Since the yeast feeds on sugar, it makes your body crave more sugar to feed the yeast growth. The whole thing becomes an out of control cycle. Experts recommend reducing your sugar consumption and adding a probiotic supplement to your daily diet. Probiotics help reduce the growth of yeast and bring the body back in balance.
Many women experience increased sugar cravings right before their monthly cycle. Hormone levels are changing during this time which means they are out of balance. Dieticians recommend getting more exercise and making sure you consume fruits, vegetables and complex carbohydrates. They caution though you should let yourself have small amounts of treats. Buy your indulgences in small size packages so you are not tempted to consume a large bag of sweets all at once.
Another cause of food cravings is adrenal imbalance. If you are stressed out and not sleeping well, then you are probably fatigued much of the time. So your body signals your adrenal glands for more stress hormones to act as an energizer, but over time, your adrenals become less able to respond appropriately. You may resort to sugar to get your energy level up which exacerbates the problem.
Now that you know what causes sugar cravings, don't see them as a weakness or lack of will power. Attack the cause and not the symptom and you could soon see an end to your "sweet tooth."

Proof that we are eating ourselves to death?

One great gift that we have people power to choose, we used recklessly. We choose all kinds of things that are bad for us. It has never been more true than when it comes to our daily food choices. As Americans we have access to the best foods in the world, but unfortunately also we have access to the worst. This is where we take the turn reckless. Instead of healthy decisions, we do all kinds of excuses why it is easier, cheaper just go to the drive-thru for evaluation, and happy meal. That should be renamed meal miserable that wreaks havoc on our bodies, but is a different conversation.
Based on rate of obesity organization economic cooperation and development (OECD) we are the world's unhealthiest State!
This is very sad to me. When I'm in public, sometime I just sit down, look at the crowds of people. I based my work purely visual, 80 percent of the people I see oils. I'm not saying by any means everyone should be in excellent, be able to run 4 minutes 1. What I mean is the company that we control. We grow excessive rate.
We bankrupt in good health by eating ourselves to death!
Here are some statistics to wrap around the head. The following statistics are from the center of disease control (CDC).
33.8% (1/3) adults in the United States are obese (for details on how set up CDC obese visit their http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/defining.html)
17% (12.5 million) children adolescents (ages 2-19) are obese.
These numbers do not include millions of obese and overweight located. As a result of these staggering numbers diabetes is high. The American Diabetes Association States that 25.8 million children and adults in the United States have diabetes. They estimate the cost of diabetes health system to be $174 billion (dollar amount that was based on statistical data of 2007). Can you imagine what would be the cost in 2011/2012? 250 billion? Maybe more?
The real sad is that we stop this epidemic. We have the power to choose, we must start by choosing our health over McDonalds.

Obesity: Something to Chew Over

Many health fads have a very short shelf life. One of these was Fletcherism, a cult which was launched at the start of the twentieth century by an overweight American business man called Horace Fletcher. At the age of forty, Fletcher was turned down for a life insurance policy as a bad health risk because of his excessive girth. He was so stunned by this experience that he promptly quit his business and went in search of health. After numerous experiments, he finally hit on a fitness regime which he rather portentously called 'the science of head digestion.'He freely admitted that he got this idea from William Gladstone, who served four terms as Britain's prime minister. Gladstone was noted for his exceptional vigour, a man who in his early eighties was still felling trees and who, at eight-five, thought nothing of moving 32,000 of his books by wheelbarrow to a community library a quarter of a mile from his home. The Grand Old Man of British politics claimed that he owed his vitality to his habit of thoroughly chewing every morsel of food he ate. This became such an obsession that he went over the top and trained his eight children to give every mouthful of food a minimum of thirty-two chews - a chew for every tooth. His argument was that, since the stomach has no teeth, unless a chunk of meat is broken down in the mouth it can't be properly mixed with the digestive enzymes found in the saliva and gastric juices. This has since been proved by trials which confirm that if a lump of meat is swallowed whole, only its outer layers will be digested after two hours in the stomach. On the other hand, if the bolus is first broken down into tiny slivers, most of its fibres will be processed during the two hour period.
Finding time for 'head digestion' also helps to preserve the teeth, since it stimulates the flow of saliva and so flushes away particles of food lodged around the teeth, which is one of the prime causes of dental decay. In addition, it eliminates the risk of 'café coronaries', the name given to the medical emergencies which occur when people choke on large portions of food. One minute they're happily bolting a chunk of steak, which may prove to be the size of a playing card, the next their struggling for their life, showing symptoms which in the panic are often mistaken for an acute heart attack. But today, the main reason for being a Fletcherist is to fight the flab. Countless studies have shown that overweight folk tend to eat more quickly than normal, giving their bodies no time to realise when they've had enough. It takes at least twenty minutes for food to be absorbed and messages transmitted to the brain's satiety centre. During this time a good trencherman can consume a thousand calories more than their need to satisfy their calorie requirements. So, anyone who wants to maintain an optimum body weight, and still enjoy the full range of gastronomic pleasures, should learn to eat more slowly, savouring each mouthful of food and chewing it until is almost reduced to a liquid consistency. Gobbling ruins our health and reduces our enjoyment. If we want to improve our digestion and preserve our youthful figures, we must learn to be gourmets rather than gluttons.

The Answer for Habitual Overeaters to Permanent Weight Loss

After many years of searching for answers by trying diets, consulting psychologists, reading self-help books on losing weight, dieting, nutrition, mindsets - the list goes on - I finally found the truth about permanent weight loss. I finally found the answers I had been searching for on why dieting does not work for permanent results. If you happen to find this article, you have been led here. Because I am going to tell you what not many people, or weight loss organizations, will tell you. I am handing you the answer on a platter, because I know the pain and sorrow I felt at not being able to lose weight and keep it off permanently. I know how it feels to search for so long and feel you will never know.
The diet business is big business. The longer you stay fat and desperate, the more money the diet business makes. Because then you will continue to buy slimming products. You will continue buying books. You will continue trying diets.
They will tell you that carbohydrates make you fat. They will tell you that your diet shouldn't contain any fat. They will tell you that all you need to lose weight is self-control. They will tell you that you need to love yourself, that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
But if you want to know the truth so that you can be set free permanently from habitual overeating, then the answer you have been looking for is in this very article.
Firstly, let's start at the root cause of your weight gain. You probably began eating as a form of comfort. Or it simply became a habit over time.
But now, it rules you. You plan your day around food. Or you eat in secret. Nothing is quite as important to you as eating. It has become an idol in your life.
What you need to understand is that weight gain and weight loss is very much a spiritual thing. Given, many people have lost weight successfully without acknowledging any form of spirituality. But if you have been stuck for years and nothing works, I can tell you that it's because you feel a certain emptiness inside that you stuff with food which helps temporarily, but never truly satisfies. What will satisfy is getting closer to God, your Creator. You need to "stuff" yourself on Him by reading His Word, by prayer and by worship of Him.
The reason for this is that whether we acknowledge this or not, each of us was created with a body, soul and spirit. The soul is the personality and the intellect, and the spirit was created to worship God. Overeating is simply a desire of the body, the flesh. But it's the spirit in you which craves the company of God, and when it is not satisfied by worship of God, you interpret the craving to be for food.
This, my friend, is why you just can't seem to lose weight permanently. You crave more of God, even though you don't realize it! Your "get thin" kit should not consist of pills or diet magazines, or diet programs, but rather, a Bible!
Further to that, the 3 things that need to change in your life in order for you to lose weight permanently are:
Your appetite for food must change to an appetite for God by prayer and reading His WordYour overeating must be replaced with self-disciplineLaziness must be replaced with exercise
I am testimony to the fact that if you just do your part by coming to God, He will help you to become self-disciplined, and help you to want to exercise. Therefore, the only thing you need to really do to lose weight permanently, is to come to God, and seek God.
What freedom after being a slave to food for so long!

Overeating: Are You Aware of This As the Cause As to Why You Are Overweight?

Most people who are overeaters don't even realize they are overeaters! And if they do, they wouldn't possibly admit to it. And perhaps that is why, like a drug addict or alcoholic, the healing process is never begun, and the overeater remains fat and unhappy for the rest of their life. Because someone who suffers from an eating disorder has to first admit that they have a problem. Just like the drug addict or alcoholic. An overeater just never seems to feel full! Sometimes, you may eat and eat and eat, and still not feel satisfied. Does this sound remotely like you?

Symptoms that indicate you have an overeating disorder include the following:
You hardly ever feel hungry because you never allow yourself to become hungry before eatingYou spend a lot of time thinking about foodYou fantasize, and sometimes even obsess, about foodYou may eat in secretYou plan bingesYou often find yourself not wanting to socialize, preferring to spend your time with your greatest friend, foodYou eat more than othersYou eat more often than othersWhen you crave something, you fulfill the cravingWhen you get emotional, you turn to foodYou eat when not hungryYou eat when bored, or for entertainment
If you are someone who overeats, you are addicted to food. If you are addicted to food, you crave fulfillment from something that only satisfies temporarily. It's exactly the same for any person who uses a substance as a form of fulfillment. The difference is that someone who is addicted to a drug, or alcohol, will learn that if they want to have permanent victory from their addiction, they need to sacrifice all use of it forevermore. With someone who is addicted to food, this is of course, impossible - if of course, they want to remain alive!
The start of your overeating habit may have been for emotional reasons, but eventually it became habitual and if you carefully consider, it may even have become your master, your idol. If you think of food as anything other than the sustenance your body needs for peak health, you may have a problem.
If you want to lose weight permanently, you need to admit your problem, and the habit of overeating needs to be broken. And not by dieting, which is impossible for the obese overeater.
The answer is in changing the way you relate to food. Food has to stop being used as a source of fulfillment. Instead, food has to be seen as a source of nourishment for your body to stay in peak health.
If you need help to stop overeating, http://www.get-thin-for-good.com/ offers a free "Get Thin for Good" program which coaches you through the steps of how to stop overeating, and aims to help you change the way you relate to food. It does not focus on dieting, pills or deprivation, and it won't be a quick-fix, but if you follow it, you will lose weight - for good.
